Mixed Media on Canvas | 110 x 125 x 10cm
A breathtaking, 3-dimensional piece, "Weather or Not Revisited. The Penguins"
A stunning creation that commands attention with its quirky scene of penguins playing in the snow.
It’s the interplay of colours that truly elevates this piece to new heights. Touches of more vibrant and demanding shades entwine with the softer tones, create an illusion of movement and flow. It is as if the viewer is transported to a world where time stands still, where raindrops and snowflakes dance freely in the air. The swirling trails of paint seem to depict the very essence of wind, whispering wistfully across land and sea. And then…… The penguins. Emperor penguins and their chicks waddle across the snow, hiding in crevasses, slip sliding down the ravine, which I created from modelling wire, fabric and paste.
Whether displayed in a grand gallery or an intimate space, this remarkable piece is destined to captivate hearts and minds alike.
Archival varnish has been applied to protect the painted surface and ensure longevity.
Signed by the artist and includes a certificate of authenticity.
The artist, Deborah Phillips, retains the copyright of the piece.
