Colour & Creative Play

Explore colour, build confidence and enjoy creating something of your own.

This relaxed workshop combines a gentle introduction to colour mixing with time to experiment freely. No painting experience is needed, and there’s no pressure to make anything “perfect.”

What will we do?

We’ll begin with playful colour-mixing exercises, exploring how colours work together and what happens when we combine them.

You’ll try creating new shades, making colours lighter or darker, and choosing combinations that appeal to you.

Then you’ll have time to explore your own painting, using the colours and techniques you’ve discovered. I’ll offer demonstrations, ideas and individual guidance, with plenty of freedom to follow your own direction.

What’s included?

All paints, tools and materials are provided, including paper for colour experiments and A3 heavyweight watercolour paper for your paintings.

An optional A3 canvas panel can be requested when booking, at an additional cost.

Your colour experiments and finished paintings are yours to take home.

Who is it for?

Adults who would enjoy a little guidance alongside the freedom to play.

It’s suitable for complete beginners, anyone returning to painting, or those who would like more confidence with colour. You don’t need to have attended another workshop first.

How long does it last?

The suggested session length is two hours, allowing time for colour exploration and your own painting.

Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little paint on.
